MORE THAN JUST TALK THERAPY

Stressful experiences in life can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and unsure of what next steps to take. We are here to work with you to create pathways to get unstuck and to heal from what has been holding you back.

We want to do more than just talk; we want to heal the underlying trauma that keeps you feeling stuck.

We use a variety of therapy modalities to help you move forward including EMDR, Flash Technique, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

  • You can expect to meet with a therapist who treats you with compassion and respect. The first session is designed to gather information about your needs so we know how to best serve you. We hope to collaborate with you to work toward the goals you identify for therapy. We will honor where you are in your healing process and allow you to decide what feels important to process. We provide teletherapy sessions you can participate in right from the comfort of your home.

  • The time therapy takes can look different for every person, and can depend on your goals, as well as the type of modality you and your therapist have agreed upon. For those of us with multiple adverse experiences to work through, the process may require more time. You may discover more about what you would like to work through as you begin to work with your therapist.

EMDR THERAPY

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy is a trauma-focused therapy that helps desensitize traumatic memories and decrease intense emotions, negative beliefs, and body sensations that came about as a result of your trauma.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a structured therapy that examines how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are all connected. Working with your therapist to examine unhelpful thought patterns can help you change your behaviors!

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a structured therapy to help you build skills in distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and emotion regulation. Practicing these skills can improve your relationships and enhance stability in your life.
